Stone Mountain with Grandma Lucy

Grandma Lucy is in town for Christmas so we had a family day at 'Snow' Mountain. We went to the top of Stone Mountain, had a nice lunch and went on a train ride around the mountain. There was a fun little Christmas Village and tons of Christmas lights. We had a great time with Grandma Lucy and the Hayes/Dupree gang!

We had a great time and are so blessed to have Grandma Lucy in our lives. She is truly a wonderful lady and we are so grateful for her!

Thanksgiving with Her Cousins!!

On Friday morning of Thanksgiving week, we drove to Cincinnati to visit with my family. This was the first time Kensi had been to Cincinnati so it was a special time for us to introduce her to out 'home.'  It was pretty cold, but we missed the snow.  I'm hoping next time we visit Kensi can experience her first snowfall! Kensi also went to Skyline for her first time too! She loves it already ;)

Meme, Poppop, my Aunt Becky and my mom's cousin Reid were already in Cincinnati for the Thanksgiving when we arrived. It was really nice to be able to see them all and allow Kensi to play with her great grandparents.
That Friday evening, Kyle and I went to his 10 year high school reunion.  Yeah, Kyle is old! It was fun to see some old friends and catch up. It worked out perfectly because Grandma and Becky were able to watch Kensi while we met up with some friends for dinner prior to the reunion.
The Wagner's came over right before we were about to leave for the reunion to see us.  Claire and Caitlin (well mainly Claire) was so excited to see her cousin Kensi! Kyle and I were excited to see our neices and spend time with them.  Kyle hadn't seen them since Kensi was born and it's been since August that I have seen them. They have grown up so much - Claire is a little girl and not a baby/toddler anymore and Caitlin is a toddler and not a baby anymore! Time just flies by!

On Saturday we dressed the girls up in matching outfits to take some pictures.  They looked so cute in their yellow chevron dresses.  Claire's favorite color is yellow, so I had to get them yellow dresses. :)

Yes, that is Kensi's favorite, crazy Uncle Hans

Sus came to visit for a bit!!

Awwwww kisses from her Cousins!

LOVE!

We were trying to get the girls to smile and Megan was waving her hands in the air and Caitlin copied!
SO CUTE!

I had to share this gem - Cait sure loves her Grandpa!

We had to get a pic of the family! This was the first time all 9 of us were together!

On Sunday, after church, Amanda and David came to meet Kensi! We saw them Friday evening at the reunion, but of course Amanda wanted to meet little Kensi girl! Sunday evening, we went to the Festival of Lights at the Zoo.  It was a pretty mild winter evening and a perfect family outing.

Claire and I being silly

Meeting Mrs. Claus - Kensi wasn't too sure about her, but didn't cry at least

I may have gone a bit overboard with bundling her up - but she was just getting over her 6th ear infection and I couldn't take any chances!

Santa Clause with her cousins!!
Cailtin loved sitting with Santa, can't you tell :)

My wonderful little family

Gramma and Grandpa with their girls!

On the carousal with all three girls - as soon as we put Kensi on the zebra, she immediately put her mouth on the bar - awesome.

The girls got new, matching pajama's from Gramma so of course we had to get a picture...or a few!

They are so stinking adorable!!!

Thanksgiving in Mahomet

For Thanksgiving we went on an adventure to both Grandparents homes.  It was a long drive to Mahomet, but Kensi did awesome! It definitely took us a lot longer with a baby, with numerous stops - and longer stops, but it was well worth the drive to visit Gigi and Grandpa Jim in Mahomet.  Unfortunately, our trip was cut a bit shorter than planned because of Kensi's ear infection and her having to get a shot Wednesday morning, but we were still able to celebrate Thanksgiving with family.  It has been at least 4 years since we have made the trip to Mahomet, so it was much needed. Plus we were able to introduce Kensi to all the animals! She got to meet Denny and Genie, Kyle's parents horses!
When we arrived on Wednesday, Jill had Thanksgiving dinner all prepared! It was so nice to be able to arrive to a yummy meal and just relax.  Then on actual Thanksgiving we just ate leftovers and hung out. Kyle and I actually went to a movie and Gigi and Grandpa Jim watched Kensi.  It was the first movie we have been to together in over 8 months! That afternoon we went to the barn to see the horses. Kensi was able to 'ride' sweet Genie, ride a tracker with Grandpa and climb around on the hay bails.

She is so beautiful

Cheese!

Gigi and Grandpa got Kensi a PONY! :At first she wasn't a fan, but eventually warmed up to it.  She loved bouncing up and down.

Riding her first horsey!

She was a bit confused at first but after a few minutes she began petting/pulling Genie's mane.  Gigi will have her riding horses in no time I'm sure!

Denny - the white horse - and Genie.  Genie is 33 years old and the sweetest and calmest horse.

Very interested in the hay...

Kensi could barely move with all the layers I had her bundled up in!

It was really special to be able to go to Mahomet for Thanksgiving except one thing was missing - AUNT KELLI! We missed having her with us but we were able to facetime for awhile so that helped a little bit.  Hopefully next year we can have Thanksgiving together with all of the Rogers :)
