4 Months Old!

On July 23rd Kensi had her 4 month doctor appointment.  On our way to the office I smelled that she had, you know, gone #2.  Walked into the waiting room and her #2 was running down her leg.....great start to the doctor's visit! Oh Kensi Girl! So Lady Like!

Kensi is 16lbs 10 oz and 26 inches and in the 97th percentile.  She checked out wonderfully with the doctor, she even said Kensi was perfect :)

She is so proud of herself!

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful baby.  Time is flying by and she is growing up so fast right before our eyes!!  Kensi is holding her head up, rolling over and is very strong.  She grasps to toys, our fingers and pretty much anything she can get her hands on!  Kensi also puts everything in her mouth. We've got to watch out for things and what she is in reach of, especially when she becomes mobile!! Kensi puts a lot of weight on her legs and holds herself up on her elbows when she is on her belly.  She is still drinking just breastmilk, but I think next month we are going to start her on rice or oatmeal.  I can't wait to see what the next few months bring, but I don't want these precious times to fly by either!! We love her so so much :)

Trip with Gigi and Grampa Jim!

Kyle's parents came to visit for a long weekend to see their sweet granddaughter (and of course us)!  She loved them right away and was very comfortable and happy in their arms!

Over the weekend we went rented a cabin in Ellijay.  It was nice to just get away and relax.  We did a little shopping in the cute little town of Ellijay, watched golf and walked along the creek right outside of the cabin door. It was a very pretty and peaceful area :)

Kensi is getting very good at holding her head up. She's not great at pushing up with her arms, but she is getting there!

First time in her excersaucer! She still a bit small for it and her little feet don't touch the ground, but she loves looking at and trying to put all of the little toys in her mouth! :) Her new thing is grabbing anything in sight and putting it in her mouth!

Happy 4th of July!

Kens started going to her new sitter yesterday! Everything has gone great so far and the best part is she gets to hang out with her boy friend, Caleb all day!!!

Summer Time!

Kensi and I went to the pool with Shelley the other day!  It was her first time in the pool! She loves her baths so I figured she would love the pool water too.  Kensi kicked around the whole time and the cold water didn't seem to bother her at all!

As you can see she is really good at holding her head up now! We are working on tummy time and sitting in the bumbo seat to strengthen her back and neck muscles :)

On June 30th, Jolynn, Josh, Kyle and I threw a Gender Revealing Party for our great friends Steve and Sarah!  They are having a GIRL! YAY! Kensi will have a best friend, Ellison Grace, in December!! :)

She had a cold a few weeks ago and ended up having an ear infection :(  I felt so bad, but she was a trooper and took her bubble gum flavored antibiotic like a champ! When I took her for her recheck on July 1st, she was 15lbs 5oz! Our big girl!
