Snow Day in Atlanta!

Today, we have a snow day! Pretty crazy, but we got 2.5 inches of snow! Yesterday, was pretty crazy on the roads, and schools, businesses pretty much everything closing early and then people being out on the roads when they weren't pretreated.  Needless to say, a ton of people were stranded and even walked home.  On our way home from picking Kensi up from Brittany's we did get trapped in Seven Hills (a neighborhood just down the street). So we decided to park the car and walk home.  It worked out pretty well and it only took us about 3 hours to go pick her up.  But thankfully we are safe and not stuck somewhere like numerous people were in the Atlanta area.

Earlier this afternoon, we took Kensi outside to experience her first snow! It is really cold and we don't have the necessary clothing for her, so we didn't say outside very long.  But she loved it! She laughed the whole time she was crawling around in the snow! She even made a Snow Angel (with mommy's help of course).

My cute little bundle of joy all bundled up!

Making her first snow angel

A perfect little angel baby

We have a 10 month old

On January 22nd Kensi was 10 months old! She is our fun loving, smiley, energetic, cuddly, sweet little angel.  We fall more in love with her everyday! She is learning new things daily and it is so amazing to watch her facial expressions as she sees or hears new things.  Her little brain must be working a mile a minute!
Here are her 10 month pictures along with a few others.

She's so pretty

haha CHEESE

She and Zoey have been playing a lot together lately.  Kensi crawls after Zoey all the time, trying to get her stuffed animal or tennis ball.  When she finally gets the tennis ball she 'throws' it for Zoey and laughs! They are so cute :)

Pretty 10th month old
My Grandma Marks made this cute little onsie-I love it

She has 7 teeth right now and the 8th has almost broken through. Needless to say, there is a lot of drool.

I think she knows how to Cheese

My tall little girl

She loves helping with her laundry - after I fold and put them away she pulls them out!

Happy 29th Birthday Daddy

Wednesday was Kyle's 29th birthday. We didn't do much except order pizza and had cake. Kyle has had a pretty exciting past year and this year is going to be great too. He started back to school at Kennesaw State University last Wednesday so life had changed a bit for us. In the long run, him going back to school, will definitely be worth it. Kensi and I am very proud of him for taking the steps to go back and get his degree.

She wanted to grab the flames - we are definitely going to have to practice before March 22! Ha ha

Moving Non-Stop!

Here is a video of Kensi walking with her car walker.  As long as she does't hit something she'll just keep going.  She absolutely loves this and is usually talking the entire time and always smiling.  Zoey and the cats have figured out that she really doesn't stop for anything.  Won't be long now before she's really walking!

9 Month Check Up

Kensi had her 9 month check up on Tuesday.  Luckily, she didn't have to get any shots! The doctor was happy with her growth and activity.  She is still a nice big girl :)
Weight: 23lbs
Height: 29 3/4 inches
She is in the 97% for weight and height and is growing at a normal healthy rate.  The doctor checked her ears and the tubes looked great too! So our happy, smiley big girl is healthy and perfect!! She is always on the move and 'walking' with her little walker.  We will put up a video once we get a good one :)

We snapped a few pictures of our busy beauty on New Year's Day to share;

Happy New Year from Kensi Lucille!

Tubes

On December 31st we went to the hospital for Kensi to get tubes. It was a super early morning (we had to be there at 5:55AM!) for all of us. Kensi was very patient and good for the nurses and doctor prior to the surgery. She was only away from us for about 15 minutes until we were taken to the recovery room where she was screaming! And those that know Kensi, know that never happens! But the surgery went great and she was a perfect little patient! Once we got home and after a long nap (from all three of us) Kensi was back to normal! We are just hoping and praying she won't have anymore ear infections after getting the tubes.
Cuddling with daddy

Trying to pass the time before the surgery - Her first wagon ride! She loved it - a wagon might be in our near future :)

Passed out after eating lunch! So funny!

Kensi's First Christmas!

Helping mom decorate the tree!  She's going to be an ornament nut just like her mom, I'm sure

Just finished wrapping Aunt Kelli's presents.  She's a gifted wrapper just like her mom (and Grandpa)

And even better at unwrapping.  We decided to open all of her gifts from GiGi, Grandpa and Great Grandpa Bumpa and Grandma before we left for Cincy.

Really excited about the bow!

I'd say Kensi did pretty well on her first night of opening gifts!

This is a video of her opening her first doll!  She loves it and get very excited every time she sees it.

We made it up to Cincinnati on the Sunday before Christmas and were able to spend some good time with the Wagner/Marks clan.

On Monday, we went to the train exhibit at the Cincinnati museum.  Kensi isn't really interested in trains yet and just wanted to be put down so she could crawl around most of the time.

This ends up with her drooling all over my head

We were able to join the Wagner's for their church's first Christmas Eve service.  It was neat to see how their church has grown over the past few years.

The whole crew on Christmas Eve

Kensi just hangin' with her cousins, they're pretty obsessed with her.  Can't wait until they can all run around together, it's not too far off!

All the girls got stuffed animals from Grandma's trip to the Tampa zoo when she was on her OneSight Mission trip with Luxottica in Tampa.

Family picture on Christmas Eve - We tried to get Zoey in it, but failed.

Christmas morning!

Just hanging with Grandpa helping open gifts.  Claire is very helpful at distributing and then helped open presents too.

Posing on her new car from Grandma and Grandpa Marks!
I love this thing, she'll sit on it for a long time and it gives us a breather from chasing her all over the house.

Thinks she's pretty funny shaking up dads coke!

Playing with Grandma on her car

Grandpa and Kensi before Christmas dinner

Haha
Kensi got hold of an orange and took a bite. Caught this priceless reaction.
(Diane puts an orange in the bottom of every stocking - a family tradition, that I am sure we will carry on to Kensi and her sibling(s)

Speaking of laughing at her trying new foods... I got a kick out of this and she kept coming back for more.

We had a great time in Cincy and Kensi's first Christmas was a huge success!

Our 9 month Old Baby!

On December 22nd, Kensi turned 9 months.  We were driving to Ohio for Christmas that day, so we may have taken her pictures a few days late eek
She is a spunky 9 month old, who definitely has a little personality already.  She is a very energetic and talkative little girl.  She definitely wants your attention, but is happy just playing on her own too.  Kyle thinks she is going to play sports (which of course I do too) because she throws her toys/balls all the time and they are actually decent throws. She is pulling herself up on everything and is so close to stepping with her walker. Kensi is eating table food now - we started her with cheerios and puffs and she is now eating turkey, cheese, ham, peas, bread, bananas and bits of pretty much anything we eat.  She was even  able to enjoy Gramma Marks' Christmas dinner with the rest of us! Her 9 month check up is January 7th.  We are looking forward to seeing where she falls on the charts :)

Super smiley Kensi girl
