Last night Kensi tried oatmeal cereal for the first time! It was a little messy, but she seemed to like it and want more.  So overall it went over really well!

NY Day 3 & 4

On Sunday, I went to church with Amy and Gramma.  Amy's friend is the new pastor at Gramma's church and she gave a really great sermon on living the Christian life in everything we do.  It was very special to spend time with Gramma and Amy in a house of the Lord and to meet some of Gramma friends!  When we got home we hung around the house and then went to the Spiedie Fest that afternoon to try some amazing food.  We hoped to see the balloons take off, but unfortunately, it was too windy for the balloons.

Sunday afternoon we went to the Spiedie fest and Amy helped me out and carried Kensi for awhile. Kensi loved snuggling up with Amo!

 On Monday, before Kensi and I flew home, us girls (that were still left in New York) went to Owego to walk around, shop and have lunch.  We ended up having lunch in an old jail! It was really neat! While we were waiting for our table, we were able to get a few group pictures outside.

NY Day 2

On Saturday, we had the actual Family Reunion.  My Dads Uncle Ray and Aunt Ginny came by along with a few of his cousins and their kids.  It was fun seeing our extended family and catching up :)

In the morning we just hung around the house and helped the 'moms' set up and get the food ready.

This was the only time Uncle Dick was able to even touch Kensi! She was pretty much passed around the family and held the entire weekend.  But she loved it!

NY Trip Day 1

Last weekend Kensi and I went to New York for the Marks Family Reunion.  This year my Aunt Annie and Uncle Richard hosted the party in Lisle.  They have a great house and property to host parties! I love their home and Lisle and have such great memories there with my sister, gramma, cousins, aunts and uncles.  My best memories are riding bikes to Gary's (the candy store), going to the post office, playing police on our bikes, playing dolls, learning how to braid hair and going to the farm! 

It was really fun showing Kensi off! She hadn't met any of our extended family except Stephanie, so it was great for her to meet everyone.  We also hadn't seen the Wagner clan since they came to meet Kensi in April AND we hadn't seen Gramma and Grandpa Marks since Mother's Day, so it was a much needed trip and visit with everyone!

It was also much needed for me to see my nieces!  Caitlin has changed so much over the past few months and I feel like I'm just missing her (and Claire) growing up :( #1 reason I hate living far away from Megan and her family! It was fun doing the girls hair, especially braiding Claire's! I cant wait until Kensi has long red hair!

On our first day in Lisle, it rained most of the day, so we just hung out around the house. We ate, welcomed the rest of the family as they arrived and played with the girls.  Megan and Claire had to go to the medical clinic (Claire was really sick with a fever) so Caitlin and Kensi got some time to play together :)
