Memorial Day Weekend

Kyle's roommate from college, Matt, came to visit for the weekend with his girlfriend Abbie! It was the first time we really got to hang out and get to know Abbie.  On Saturday, we went to the Georgia Aquarium to see all the fishies.  Kensi was a perfect little baby and slept most of the time.

On Sunday, we went to the Lake with some friends.  It was Kensi's first time in her cute little swim suit and of course at the lake! 

I think in the years to come she is going to have to be lathered up in sunscreen all the time!! Especially with her current RED HAIR and blue eyes

Saylor was obsessed with Kensi and wanted to hug, touch, look at, help her with her paci, pretty much just be right by Kensi all the time.  It was so cute! She is going to be such a good big sister!

Kensi is 2 months!

Kensi Lucille was 2 months old yesterday! Time is just flying by and she is growing up so quickly!  She had her 2 month doctors appointment this morning and weighs 12 lbs 11oz and is 24 inches long. She is in the 97th percentile for both weight and height.  She is a big, growing girl!!

The doctor clarified what Kyle and I already knew - Kensi is perfect! The doctor said she is growing really well, holding her head up well and just plain PERFECT! :)

Baby is getting so Big!

The past week and a half has been a big transition for Kensi.  I went back to work on May 8th and she has been watched by different people almost every day.  Jolynn watched her a few days, then Kyle and then Kyle's mom came to watch her! Kensi has really been a trooper through all the changes. Of course she has had some fussy or 'bad' days, but she is still sleeping through the night well, so I'm happy :) Kyle got a new job so he had a few days off  in between to watch Kensi girl.  Kensi and I are so proud of Daddy and his new position!  We are excited to have him home all the time on the weekends too!  

Unfortunately, somewhere during all the baby sitting changes, our baby has gotten her first cold.  It is so sad, she is stuffed up and coughs. She is finally getting over it, but still coughs sometimes.  Although she is sick, she is still such a smiley, happy baby! Tomorrow she starts at the sitters for daycare.  I'm a bit sad at the thought of dropping her off and leaving her, but I know she will be in good hands.

Mother's Day Weekend

Over Mother's Day weekend my parents came to visit! It's been probably 7 years since I have been able to spend actual Mother's Day with my amazing Mommy! It was a relaxing, fun weekend with my loving, caring, beautiful mother (and father)!

Saturday evening we celebrated Dad's 60th birthday - we went out to dinner to PF Changs, Kensi loved it!

Mom and Dad got to go to church with us! During service Kensi girl was a bit fussy so Grampa took care of her the whole time.  He even got her to go to sleep with the loud music :)  It was so sweet to see my Daddy taking care of my baby!

The guys decided since they didn't go to the driving range, they would have a chipping contest in the backyard and Dad won! (Kyle had to go easy on him since he's getting so old and turning 60! ;) )

We can't wait to see Gramma and Grampa again soon! Love you both so much!

First Mother's Day

I had my first Mother's Day on Sunday and am so blessed to have my dear sweet Kensi to celebrate with!  

I am just the luckiest mommy there is to be able to take care of my darling!!

Visiting Meme & Poppop

This past weekend we traveled to Big Stone Gap to visit my grandparents and Aunt Jamie.  It was Kensi's first long car ride and she was amazing! We only had to stop once to feed her and she slept the rest of the trip!  

The last time we saw Meme and Poppop was right after we found out we were pregnant with Kensi! (and we weren't telling anyone yet!) So it was really special sharing her with them 10 months later! Kensi was the big hit of the visit and of course all the attention was on her :) Kensi loves her Meme and Poppop so much!
